Personal History from Sandy:
My birth place was Minnesota, but I resided in LA until the age of ten when my parents moved to Guatemala, Central America, where I finished my high school and collage education.
During these formative years (10 – 17 years old) I trained and competed in horse jumping, and track . I held eight track records in 100, 200, 400 meters, and in the , 400 relays, 100, 200 hurdles, along with high jump and long jump. I was avid in motor cross, water skiing, and volcano climbing. In my early teens I was selected by coach Rudiger Dorman, to train in Germany for the Olympics.
Unfortunately it was all cut short after I shattered my meniscus during a motor cross event. Although this injury was emotionally devastating it lead to the discovery of weight training, and proper nutrition, which helped me restore my body to peak condition.
I am a certified Personal Trainer, Fitness Therapist and a Specialist in Fitness Nutrition with over 20 years of experience. I train most of my clientele at Gold's gym Venice, on Hampton Dr I. am also a certified Rescue Diver, and a Licensed Cosmetologist
My passions are my work, my pets, my boat (I have a classic 38 foot Bertram), my BMW GS 1100R which I ride to Palm Springs.
I love the desert, it's remarkably beautiful and so serene, I was drawn to buy a home there where I enjoy my garden, listening to music, and hiking with my 3 dogs.
When summer kicks in I sometimes travel up to my cabin in Big Bear where we have great hiking adventures.I enjoy the tranquility of nature, which brings me closer to the universe.
